Media Contacts: Senior Services Fall 2012 Magazine now available The city’s Senior Services Fall 2012 magazine has been mailed to seniors within the City of Boulder. The magazine can also be picked up at the West Boulder Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave. and East Boulder Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, or viewed online at: www.boulderseniorservices.com. Registration for fall programs by fax, drop-off or online begins on Tuesday, Aug. 21, for Encore members and Thursday, Aug. 23, for all others. Walk-in and phone registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 24. Anyone age 55 or older is welcome to enroll in programs, and city residents age 60 and older are eligible for Senior Resources consultations. New offerings in the magazine include:
Senior Resources offers individualized consultation and resource referrals. Call the Resource line at 303-441-4388 to learn about and understand the resources available to adults age 60 and over as well as their families. Staff can help clarify needs, understand what options are available, learn how to maneuver the application processes, balance caregiving and develop a plan of action. Both the East and West Senior Centers have rooms of different sizes that are available for rent for an event, party or meeting.
