Sept. 11, 2012 - Kidnapping & sex assault suspect arrestedTuesday, September 11, 2012 Kidnapping & sex assault suspect arrested Boulder police have arrested Leif Goehringer (DOB 05/11/1965) on several charges stemming from an alleged kidnapping and sexual assault case was reported to have occurred on Sept. 7, 2012, sometime between the hours of 1:45 a.m. and 4:00 a.m. The 26-year-old female victim is acquainted with Goehringer. She told police the two of them had gone out together during the evening, and then argued when she wanted to go home. She says she asked Goehringer to drive her to her home. According to the victim, Goehringer forced her into a van in the 900 block of Gillaspie Drive and then sexually assaulted her inside the van. The victim tried to escape, but says Goehringer caught up to her as she was running down the street. Detectives arrested Goehringer today, Sept. 11, 2012 with the help of the Broomfield Police Department. Goehringer faces two charges of Sexual Assault, one charge of Unlawful Sexual Contact with Force, Second Degree Kidnapping, Menacing, Third Degree Assault and Domestic Violence.
