In exchange, building owners will receive free assistance from an independent energy coach that will help collect energy use data and rate their buildings’ energy performance using the ENERGY STAR Portfolio Manager™, a national standard energy rating tool developed by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency. Portfolio Manager will compare their buildings’ energy use to similar buildings nationwide and provide a rating that can serve as a starting point for understanding whole building energy performance and identifying energy efficiency upgrades that could save them money.
