Nov. 7, 2012 - Senior Services Winter 2012 - 2013 Magazine now availableMedia Contacts: Senior Services Winter 2012 - 2013 Magazine now available The Boulder Senior Services Winter 2012-2013 magazine is now available at the West Senior Center, 909 Arapahoe Ave., and the East Senior Center, 5660 Sioux Drive, or can be viewed online at www.boulderseniorservices.com. Registration for winter programs by fax, drop-off or online begins on Tuesday, Nov. 13, for Encore members and Thursday, Nov. 15, for all others. Walk-in and phone registration begins at 8:30 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 16. Anyone age 55 or older is welcome to enroll in programs, and city residents age 60 and older are eligible for Senior Resources consultations. New offerings in the magazine include Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction classes beginning Jan. 9; a Stanley Hotel Ghost Tour and lunch on Jan. 9; Afternoon Tea and Chocolate Pairings, Feb. 11; and Thriving Independently at Home, a resource fair, on Feb. 26. Senior Resources offers individualized consultation and resource referrals. Call the resource line at 303-441-4388 to learn about and understand the resources available to adults age 60 and older as well as their families. Staff can help you clarify your needs, understand what options are available, learn how to maneuver the application processes, balance caregiving with your personal needs and develop a plan of action. Both the East and West Senior Centers have rooms of different sizes that are available for rent for an event, party or meeting.
