Nov. 30, 2012 - Police release video and photos of suspects from recent assault/robbery caseFriday, Nov. 30, 2012 Police release video and photos of suspects from recent assault/robbery case Boulder police are asking the public for help in identifying three male suspects in an assault and robbery case which happened in the 1100 block of Lawry Lane on Nov. 16, 2012 sometime after 2 a.m. The case number is 12-15816. Victims say that the three men attacked them in the early-morning hours in the alley behind Nitro Club. The suspects are seen in this surveillance video walking westward on Lawry Lane, just after the assaults. The victims walked in the opposite direction. > Anyone who recognizes the suspects is asked to contact Detective Chuck Heidel at 303-441-3339. At the time of the attack, the 23-year-old male victim was walking with a male friend. The victim told police that an unknown male, who was standing with two other males, asked for a cigarette which the victim’s friend provided. As the two friends turned to walk away, the unknown male with blonde hair (seen on the left/front of the video) tackled the victim. The second unknown male began punching the victim. The third unknown male grabbed the victim’s friend, who was trying to intervene. That was the end of the altercation, and everyone involved walked away in opposite directions. The suspects were last seen walking west on Lawry Lane. The victim suffered serious injuries and was taken to the hospital for treatment. The victim’s friend was not injured. The assault was not reported right away. The video shows the three suspects. The blonde suspect appears to be wearing a scarf, jeans and possibly cowboy boots. The other two suspects have dark hair and clothing. A fourth male, seen on the right, is a bystander and was not involved in the assaults. Police have questioned him and he was not able to identify the suspects.
