Floodplain Development Permit

A floodplain development permit is required for all development in the 100-year floodplain. General maps of the floodplain, which include both high hazard, conveyance, and flood fringe zones, more specific maps and a determination of whether a property is in the high hazard or conveyance area are available.

Floodplain Development Permits:

If you would like to apply for a development permit, fill out the application form and bring it to the Planning & Development Services Center, 1739 Broadway.

Floodplain Information Requests:

If you would like information on whether a specific property is in the floodplain, we recommend you check the online Property Report  - it's free!

You can also get a Public Flood Map or a Flood Insurance Rate Map from the FEMA Map Service Center.

If you want P&DS to look up your floodplain information for you, fill out the pdf  Floodplain Information Request Form and either fax it back to us or drop it off in person at 1739 Broadway, third floor.
