Contact: The Boulder Police Communications Center provides 24-hour answering of all emergency and non-emergency calls for the City of Boulder, including 911 and non-emergency telephone service for the hearing and speech impaired. Emergency communications personnel, with the assistance of Boulder County Communications, dispatch police, fire, emergency medical services, animal control, and open space for the City of Boulder. The Communications Center has a direct link with a language line which provides the center with translation for public safety needs in more than 140 languages and dialects. Using sophisticated radio communication, mobile data terminals (MDTs), and a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system, the Communications Center is able to take requests and expedite the dispatch of emergency personnel.
