The next City of Boulder Affordable Homes Open House is Sunday, June 23, 2012, 12- 3pm. This event is a fun and easy way to see multiple affordable properties in one afternoon and learn more about the Homeownership Program. A variety of properties will participate including Condos, Townhomes and Single Family Homes. Please check back here closer the 23th for a list of participating homes.

You must submit an application and become income-certified before entering a lottery or making an offer on a home. The income-certification process can take up to two weeks so please submit your application at least two weeks before a lottery date. If you submit an application less than two weeks before a lottery, or if you submit an incomplete application, you will not be eligible to participate in the lottery. You can download an application from this site or e-mail your request to have an application mailed to you.

The City of Boulder Orientation and Homebuyer classes are required parts of the application process. Attending Orientation prior to submitting an application will provide information and answers to many of your questions. If you are interested in entering a lottery for a particular property that is scheduled prior to the next class/orientation dates, you may complete these education requirements after submitting your application. You should note the lottery you're interested in on your application.

If you're interested in a home that is scheduled for a lottery, you must submit an Intent to Purchase form to enter the lottery. You can download an Intent to Purchase form. Intent to Purchase forms should be submitted to the City of Boulder Housing Division, attn: Homeownership, by the deadline listed for each individual unit. They can be dropped off or faxed.
