The Boulder Police Department offers internships during the spring and fall semester. After an initial training, BPD interns work an average of 10 hours a week for the duration of the semester. Interns will spend time in each section of the Department, working with Patrol Officers, Detectives, Dispatch, Records and Information Services, Community Services, and more.

In order to participate in our internship program, you must:

• Be a Junior or Senior
• Be currently enrolled in college
• Have and maintain a cumulative gpa of 2.5 or better
• Possess a valid state driver's license
• Have engaged in no criminal activity in the last three to five years (including drug usage)

If you are interested in applying, please print an  Application, a  personal history statement and a  records check form, complete those and submit them to Diane Herzberg. Please also include a letter of intent explaining why you are interested in being a BPD intern and a letter of recommendation from a professor.

The application deadline for fall semester is July 27 and November 15,  for the spring semester.
