OSMP - Share your Digital Photos

Open Space and Mountain Parks is always looking for beautiful photos taken on Boulder's public lands: pictures of plants or animals, historical pictures, or people just having fun outdoors. We maintain a photo collection for use on this web page, on nature hikes, in educational slide programs and publications, and for exhibits and interpretive signs. If you have some great photos taken on OSMP, please consider sharing them with us and with the public! It's a great way to give back to the land system that gives you so much. One photo a month will be chosen for a special place in the gallery for visitor pictures.

Photo Ownership and Release Rights

Photographs must be submitted by the original photographer. Do not submit a photo taken by someone other than yourself. You must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted. Your submission of the photo and digital signature is your guarantee that you are the author of the photograph.

You agree that any submitted photos may be used for non-commercial educational, exhibition and promotional purposes in all conventional and electronic media, including but not limited to the Internet, and any future media.

You understand and agree that any submitted photograph may be duplicated, distributed, and/or altered in any form or manner without future or further compensation or liability, in perpetuity.

The City of Boulder is not obligated or required to use the submitted photo on the web page or in any other manner.

Photographers retain the copyright to their photographs. Any printed or electronic publication of the submitted photograph will credit the photographer. Large image files of photographs displayed on the internet and suitable for downloading will have the a copyright symbol and the photographer's name "burned into" the image, and will include metadata identifying the photograph's author and contact information.

Any commercial inquiries about these photos received by the City of Boulder will be directed to the photographer.

In the event that ownership of any photograph submitted to the City of Boulder is contested in any manner, the City of Boulder will discontinue all use of the photograph.

Submission Guidelines - Please Read Carefully!

• Please submit only JPG format images at highest quality level of
  compression.
• Please, no photos over 1 Mb in size, preferably smaller.
• Please submit only photographs taken on the City of Boulder's Open
  Space and Mountain Parks or depicting natural resources that occur there.
