This is a listing of common traffic offenses in the Boulder Municipal Court.

7-4-52 Inattentive Driving

7-4-56 Reckless Driving

7-4-57 Speed Contest Prohibited

7-4-58(3) Speed 20mph or more over the limit

7-4-64 Stop for school bus required

7-4-67 Eluding

7-4-70 Obedience to peace officers and firefighters directing  traffic required

Other traffic charges may also be offenses.  You may wish to research your charge in the Boulder Revised Code if you are unsure whether your charge is an offense or infraction.

The maximum penalty for a traffic offense is a fine of $1000 + $25 court costs, up to 90 days in jail, and up to two years of probation, plus the number of points associated with the violation.
