The Local Environmental Action Division (LEAD) provides leadership to achieve Boulder’s goals of sustainability and environmental quality. Our mission is to engage and assist the community to reduce waste and energy use through education, services and economic assistance. We develop city policy, offer educational programs, and partner with citizens, businesses and other organizations to protect Boulder's environment.
