Family Resource Schools & the Family Resource Center

FRS logo

Family Resource Schools (FRS) is a joint partnership between the City of Boulder and the Boulder Valley School District serving children and families at five elementary schools in Boulder.  The Family Resource Center (FRC) is a collaborative effort between the City of Boulder and Boulder County serving all residents of the city of Boulder with a child from 0 to 19 years of age or families with a child enrolled in a BVSD school within the city of  Boulder.  Both programs are dedicated to supporting a family's capacity to raise healthy, well-functioning, and successful children. The broad array of prevention and early intervention services are developed and delivered according to the unique needs of families in each school community. The program especially emphasizes outreach to traditionally underserved populations to increase access to basic services and involvement in school.

The essential framework of FRS and the FRC is to:

  • Promote family self-sufficiency
  • Remove barriers to successful education
  • Build on family strengths
  • Enhance academic opportunities at the school

The elementary schools served by FRS include Columbine, Creekside, Crest View, Uni Hill and Whittier.  If your child does not attend one of these schools but is a Boulder city resident, or is enrolled in a BVSD school within the city of Boulder, please learn more about the FRC here.
