Greenways Program

Greenways Map


The City of Boulder Greenways System is comprised of a series of corridors along riparian areas including Boulder Creek and six of its tributaries, which provide an opportunity to integrate multiple-use objectives.

In addition to Boulder Creek, the designated Greenways tributaries are (see map):

  • South Boulder Creek
  • Bear Canyon Creek
  • Skunk Creek
  • Goose Creek
  • Wonderland Creek
  • Fourmile Canyon Creek

The Greenways Program seeks to coordinate and integrate as appropriate the following management objectives:

  • Riparian, floodplain and wetland protection and restoration;
  • Water quality enhancement;
  • Storm Drainage;
  • Alternative transportation routes for pedestrians and bicyclists;
  • Recreation;
  • Protection of cultural resources.
