Business Partners

The city’s Economic Vitality Program works closely with a range of local organizations to accomplish the program’s goals and to meet the needs of Boulder businesses.  These partnerships are critical to leveraging resources and to make the most of the talents of each organization. These organizations have expertise with many Boulder business specialties, from entrepreneurs, small businesses, and independent businesses to federal labs, downtown businesses, and primary employers.


The Boulder Economic Council (BEC) is the economic development arm of the Boulder Chamber and provides helpful information for local businesses, entrepreneurs, and companies considering a move to Boulder.

The Boulder Chamber, comprised of more than 1,600 businesses, provides the services and resources to help your business grow while gaining exposure in the community through successful training programs, volunteer committees, and business events.

The Boulder Independent Business Alliance(BIBA) is a grassroots collaborative organization of locally owned independent businesses in Boulder County that promotes locally owned independent businesses in an effort to preserve Boulder's unique character and ongoing economic viability.

The Boulder Small Business Development Center(Boulder SBDC) provides training workshops on a variety of business topics, offers free, one-on-one consulting with experienced business people, and acts as a hub to connect you with other small business resources.

CO-LABS educates community leaders and the public about the economic, scientific, and civic benefits of Colorado's federal labs, facilitates lab interaction with businesses, and supports the retention and expansion of these scientific resources.

Downtown Boulder, Inc. (DBI) is a non-profit organization dedicated to continued preservation and enhancement of Downtown Boulder as the heart of the greater Boulder community. DBI members support the overall vitality of downtown through public advocacy, political involvement, and community events that enhance the Boulder experience for residents and visitors.

The Innovation Center of the Rockies (ICR), formerly the Boulder Innovation Center, combines the knowledge and enthusiasm of entrepreneurs and business owners with the resources of sponsors and advisors. The BIC supports economic development in the Boulder area by encouraging and catalyzing entrepreneurship. The BIC was founded with seed investment by the city, Boulder Economic Council, Boulder Tomorrow, and Colorado Economic Development Commission.

Naturally Boulder is a non-profit organization that aims to nurture and enhance the natural products industry in  Boulder through networking opportunities, educational seminars, and other events that bring together industry pioneers, entrepreneurs, and those looking to enter the industry.
