What's GO Boulder?about_tag_along.jpeg

We're the community's partner in making it easier to, well, go. Since 1989, we've helped develop and promote the "Great Options" available for getting around Boulder. Residents and visitors value the special quality of life in our community. At GO Boulder, we strive to develop a sustainable transportation system that supports it.

Building a Balanced and Integrated Transportation Network

Since 1989, the city has installed an average of one mile of off-street path, one-half mile of on-street bicycle lanes and constructed an average of two underpasses per year. In 2001, the transportation budget was refocused on implementing alternative transportation systems. One million dollars was reallocated to bicycle/pedestrian improvements and transit/transit pass programs, helping us build our transportation network.

Where We're GOing Today... and Tomorrow

We're creating a safe and efficient transportation system by providing educational information, outreach programs, financial incentives, and maintenance reporting. We're shaping the future by developing innovative programs such as the Community Transit Network and the extensive system of off-street bicycle paths, pedestrian paths and underpasses.
