Neighborhood Eco (NECO) Pass

RTD in partnership with GO Boulder offers  a bus pass program especially for neighborhoods called the Neighborhood Eco (NECO) Pass. As of November 2009 45 neighborhoods in Boulder and one in Lafayette offer the NECO Pass to more than 7,100 eligible households and 11,000 residents.

Benefits
The NECO Pass is a great deal for pass holders and the community. Benefits include:

Reduced Costs neco_dash.jpg
The annual cost for this pass is $75 to $170 per household depending on where you are located. There is also a 50 percent discount available for first time NECO Pass neighborhoods. The pass is valued at $1,968 if it is purchased outside of this program.

Great transportation options
The pass is good on all RTD services, including all local and regional buses such as Light Rail, the "N" to Eldora Mountain Resort, SkyRide to DIA and Boulder's Community Transit Network (CTN) of HOP, SKIP, JUMP, BOUND, DASH, STAMPEDE and BOLT buses. These buses are known for their quick, convenient and schedule-free service around town and to and from Lafayette, Louisville and Longmont.

A healthier community
Research has shown that once NECO passes are distributed, bus ridership increases dramatically. With the NECO Pass in place people drive less which results  in less congestion and pollution in our communities and neighborhoods.
