Forest Glen General Improvement District (GID) Eco Passfg_dash_bus.jpg

These Forest Dwellers Are Ahead of the Curve.

In November, 2000, residents of the Forest Glen neighborhood in Boulder voted to form a General Improvement District (GID) to provide RTD transit passes for all neighborhood residents. A public audit and review of this program occurred in 2006. This process resulted in the final recommendation to continue the status quo of the Forest Glen GID Eco Pass program through 2011.

How does the GID work?

Any resident living in the Forest Glen neighborhood is eligible to receive an RTD Eco Pass, regardless of whether they rent or own a home. These passes are paid for by Forest Glen residents as part of their annual property tax. The RTD Eco Pass allows unlimited riding on all RTD buses and Light Rail including service to Denver International Airport and Eldora Mountain Resort.

How do I get my Forest Glen RTD Eco Pass?

If you are a Forest Glen resident and have not yet received your RTD Eco Pass, contact the GO Boulder front desk staff at 303-441-3266. We will need to know your name and address to verify that you live in the GID area.

To obtain your pass you will need to:

  • Stop by the GO Boulder office during regular business hours: Park Central Building, 1739 Broadway, 2nd Floor.
  • Pick up an authorization form and decal. You will need to show proof that you live in the Forest Glen GID (driver's license, utility bill, etc)*
