Arapahoe Avenue (Folsom to 30th) Multimodal Improvements Project



Project Purpose:

To upgrade the street to include facilities and amenities for all transportation modes, including:

  • 10 foot wide multi-use path on both sides of Arapahoe Avenue
  • Enhanced pedestrian crossings
  • Bike racks
  • Connections to adjacent facilities (Folsom and 28th Street bike/pedestrian facilities and upcoming 30th Street bike lanes)
  • Transit enhancements

Project Budget:

  • Total = $1,515,000
    • $607,000 from the city
    • $908,000 from the federal government

Project Timeline:

  • 2008/2009 - Planning and Design
  • Spring 2010 - Construction
