Water Resources

Water Resources manages the City of Boulder's raw water supplies.

Water Resources also:

diverts raw water;
stores water in reservoirs;
delivers the water to the city's watertreatment plants; and
completes water rights accounting.

The raw water pipelines, reservoirs and facilities are operated and maintained by this work group along with the eight hydroelectric plants associated with Boulder's water supply system. Water Resources also manages the leasing of raw water supplies to agricultural users, acts as a liaison with ditch companies and manages the instream flow program for Boulder Creek.
