Job DescriptionsWildland Fire Division Chief:Under general direction, coordinate all city wildland firefighting efforts including incident management, planning/trainings on wildland fire suppression, and public education programs, and to serve as liaison between city, county, state and federal emergency service providers and to perform related duties as required. Wildland Fire Management Coordinator:Under general direction, carry out wildland fire suppression management, planning, training and education programs; perform duties of the Wildland Fire Division Chief in his or her absence; maintain wildfire safety and suppression equipment; and perform related duties as required. Fuels Management Supervisor:Under general direction, coordinate prescribed fire planning and implementation with city departments and other local, state and federal land management agencies; direct the wildfire mitigation, planning, education, and prevention programs; and perform related duties as required. Prescribed Fire Management Specialist:Under general direction, to serve as a cooperative liaison between the wildland fire management activities of the Fire Department and the resource management needs of the Open Space and Mountain Parks Department-, to formulate and promote sound fire management practices, to coordinate prescribed fire operations, and to perform related duties as required. Wildfire Fire Technician:Under general direction, assist with wildfire prevention, planning, training and suppression programs; to maintain wildfire safety and suppression equipment; and perform related duties as required. Wildland fire/Mitigation Crew Boss:Under general direction, supervise a crew of four to five personal in carrying out fire and mitigation operations during pre-suppression, suppression, mitigation, prescribed fire and forestry management programs, and to perform related duties as required. Wildland Fire/Mitigation Crew Member:Under direct supervision, carry out fire and mitigation operations during pre-suppression, suppression, mitigation, prescribed fire and forestry management programs, and to perform related duties as required.
