A
habitat is the natural environment of an
animal, the place it lives. Habitats provide everything an animal needs:
water, food, space, shelter. But not all habitats are good for all animals.
For example, a mule deer can't live in a lake, and a fish can't live in
a meadow.
The pictures below show different habitats on Boulder's Open Space and Mountain Parks. Each kind of habitat has its own kinds of animals.
Your job is to search each habitat for the creatures that live there. But you'll have to look closely. Use your mouse to point where you might spot an animal. If you're lucky, an animal will pop out!
Try
it. Point your mouse into the box and see what happens.
