Print Shop Pollution Prevention Criteria for Certification as a PACE Partner:
- Use 5% or less isopropyl alcohol in fountain solutions
- Ensure that 50% or more of inks used by the Company are vegetable based.
- Ensure that 50% or more of cleaning materials (blanket and roller washes) are low VOC (50% or less VOC content).
- Remove and recycle silver prior to fixer being disposed to waste water system, or have photo processing
- Recycle paper/plates/film.
- Remove liquid from rags before discarding/laundering.
- Provide and use closed, fireproof containers for used rags.
- Keep lids on containers when not in use.
- Implement at least one energy conservation measure.
- Implement at least one water conservation measure.
- Certify that to the best of your knowledge, your shop is in compliance with any local, state, and federal environmental regulations.
- Share you P2 success stories with at least one other business.
- Commit to an annual pollution prevention review.

Completing 3 criteria listed above qualifies your shop for advertising twice a year.

Completing all of the criteria qualifies your shop for the PACE decal to use in your shop and its advertising, plus the twice a year advertising.
