Training and Test
for Surface Cleaners
and Pressure Washers

PACE has developed a certification program for retail businesses. Through a 2003 project funded by the Town of Superior, PACE worked with several Superior retailers to develop certification criteria that would be challenging yet flexible given the variety in retail operations. It is intended to be a systems-based approach for environmental performance. Unlike the other sectors that PACE certifies, we envision the retail sector program to operate as a self-certification process. PACE staff will assist all retailers interested in the program and offer annual follow-up once a business is certified.

Introduction to Program
|
This new program is a great opportunity for retailers to learn how they can reduce operating costs and their environmental impact, and receive free recognition from PACE.
PACE wishes to thank Super Target, Superior Liquors, Ross Dress for Less and Payless Shoe Source for their valuable time and input. The PACE-Certified Retail Business Program was created through a partnership of PACE, the Center for ReSource Conservation, Town of Superior, and the Boulder County Resource Conservation Division. A special thank you to the Green Star Program in Anchorage, Alaska and New York City’s Wastele$$ Business Tips for Retail for their contributions to this program.
