Property owners of commercial or rental property must remove graffiti within three days of noticing the graffiti or of receiving written notice from the city.

If the graffiti is not removed, the property owner will receive a warning notice that a summons will be issued for continued non-compliance.

If the graffiti remains after warning is given, the property owner will receive a summons. A first-time summons is $250, which can be mailed in. The violation maximum penalty is $1,000 and 90 days in jail.

The city will provide a "graffiti bank" at the Municipal Service Center (MSC) where property owners can pick up paint free of charge to use in removing graffiti. Please call ahead to make arrangements for paint, 303-413-7162.
