Neighborhood Eco (NECO) Pass

RTD, in partnership with GO Boulder, offers a bus pass program especially for neighborhoods called the Neighborhood Eco (NECO) Pass. The NECO Pass Program grew to include more than 11,000 participants in 6,251 eligible households in 2012.

Benefits

The NECO Pass is a great deal for pass holders and the community. 

• Reduced Costs
  The annual cost for this pass is $85 to $216 per household, depending on where you are located. There is also a 50 percent subsidy available for first-time NECO Pass neighborhoods and an ongoing subsidy of 30 to 35 percent for renewing neighborhoods.
  
• Great Transportation Options
  The pass is good on all RTD services, including:
  • all local bus routes;
  • all regional buses, including the Light Rail;
  • the "N" route to Eldora Mountain Resort; and
  • SkyRide to DIA (currently $5.00 fee going to DIA no fee for return trip. Under the smart card it will be a $2.50 fee for trips to and from DIA).
• A Healthier Community
  Neighborhoods that distribute NECO passes have experienced a dramatic increase in bus ridership. With the pass in place, people drive less, which results in less congestion and pollution in our community.
