Mediation ProgramMediation Mediation is a structured method of negotiation facilitated by neutral third-parties - mediators - who guides disputing parties through a process designed to bring about practical and permanent solutions to shared conflicts. Mediators are not judges and do not make decisions about who is right or wrong in a dispute. Rather, mediation agreements are created by the people most affected by the problem and are most often times a final and effective remedy to the situation. Mediation is based on open communication and compromise and participation is voluntary. A large percentage of the work done by the Mediation Program involves landlord and tenant issues and we have created a section of resources dealing specifically with these relationships.
