Construction Plan Update

The Parks and Recreation Department recently began tree pruning and removal work at Valmont City Park (located north and east of Valmont and Airport roads) to improve public safety in preparation for development of a bike park, disc golf course and dog park. [More]

Valmont City Park construction is scheduled to start at the beginning of 2010.

The design team is submitting technical documents to the city for review in October 2009. The site will be graded to shape the ground in preparation for park construction.

The city will be pre-qualifying general contractors during fall 2009 in preparation for bidding by the end of the year.

The 132-acre Valmont City Park is located on the intersection of Airport and Valmont Roads.
