North Boulder Recreation Center

Starting Saturday, August 9, North Boulder Recreation Center (NBRC) will be temporarily closed to the public to support planned, annual maintenance repairs in the building. The building is planned to reopen Monday, August 18.

Facility-wide maintenance includes:

• Heat exchanger replacement to improve hot tub temperature
• Hot tub retiling and grouting
• Complete rebuild of sauna components to improve functionality
• Replacement and update of several pieces of cardio equipment

Boulder’s three recreation centers are aging. To renovate and keep them in good shape for the long-term for our community, they will need significant investment in the near future. We’re asking you and our community members to help us imagine the future of these buildings and our high-quality recreation system. We are working with our partners in the Facilities and Fleet Department as we start planning for the indoor spaces and the recreation center buildings themselves.
